Sally Fitzgibbons

Sally represented NSW and Australia on 14 occasions in a number of different sports, including Athletics (winning Gold at the Youth Olympics 800m and 1500m), Touch Football, Soccer, Surfing and Cross Country running.
As a surfer Sally had her first significant results at the age of 14 becoming the youngest surfer male or female to win an ASP Pro Junior (Under 21’s) event. She continued to set records throughout her junior years winning the Australasian Pro Junior Series in 2007 and 2008 and the World Qualifying Series in 2008 and 2010. Sally represented Australia at the ISA Under 18 World Surfing Titles in Brazil placing second age 15; at 16 she traveled to Portugal to win her first ISA World Title and backed it up the following year winning both the Billabong ASP Under 21 World Title and her third World Title the ISA World Games Open Title.
In her first attempt to reach the Women’s World Tour Sally set a record by wrapping up the series before June to become the youngest and quickest World Tour qualifier in Professional Surfing history.
In 2009 and 2010 Sally finished fifth and second on the World Tour respectively showing she is a genuine World Title contender. 2011 saw Sally win the iconic Ripcurl Pro Bells Beach and the Nike US Open events and finish as World number two for a second consecutive year.
Sally is a determined young person driven by competition and a need to push her limits.
