Why did you get involved with NYW and why is it important to you?

I wanted to be involved in National Youth Week to assist in making it a great week of celebration by giving fresh ideas. I feel it’s important to create an atmosphere or "week" for youth to be able to celebrate being youth.

Why should young people get involved in NYW and how can they get involved?

Young people should get involved in NYW because it’s a week to enjoy being young, and to take advantage of the fact that the government wants to know our opinion as young people. Each young person can get involved by checking out the National Youth Week website.

What are you most looking forward to for NYW 2012?

I’m looking forward to hearing/seeing about the different events that each state will be holding, particularly what ACT will be offering.

What is it like to be a Young Member?

It has been great so far, especially the opportunity to meet other passionate young members from other states and territory.

If you could plan any event for NYW, what would it be and why?

I would plan a dancing event. It would consist of over 20 dancers which can either be teams or individuals and basically each person must enter the battle circle to win against other dancers. I just think it’s a great fun and interactive event and I know many would enter.

What’s your hidden talent?

For my hidden talent, I would have to say singing!

How do you imagine, create and inspire?

I guess to imagine, create and inspire you have to let yourself be able to do these things. So how I imagine, create and inspire is by letting myself have the freedom to imagine and create and inspire by being the best role model I can be for those that around me.

If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 12 year old, what advice would you give yourself?

Be who you are, no matter what.

If you had only $10 left, what would you spend it on and why?

Probably food or petrol, they are my main necessities.

How can the Youth of today be (more) active in their communities?

By being role models for the younger ones coming up and speaking out against things that are not right or unjust.
