Lucy Deemal, one of the Australian Government Representatives
I’m looking forward to heading to some really good events with my friends.
2. What is your favourite day of the week and why?
Thursday, because most of the week’s over and the weekend is almost here!
3. What does ‘Live it Now’ mean to you?
It means taking control of now and not waiting for life to catch up to you.
4. If you could travel to one place in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go to Cambodia. I’d love to see the temples, especially Angkor Wat.
5. Who/what inspires you?
Charles Perkins. He was one of the main pushers in getting the 1967 Referendum to give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the right to vote. He was also a great sportsman and travelled the world playing soccer.
6. Why did you decided to get involved in National Youth Week?
I thought it would be a good chance to get involved in something fun and positive for youth.
7. When are you happiest?
I’m happiest when I’m with my friends and family; especially with my nephews and nieces playing games or going to the beach.
8. What is rocking your iPod at the moment?
My music taste changes a lot but right now I’m getting my ears ready for Parklife, listening to a lot of Lady Sovereign.
9. If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
To fly, definitely fly! And at mad crazy speed so I could go anywhere I wanted whenever I wanted.
10. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
I’m really superstitious; I never pick up a knife I’ve dropped, or walk under ladders or anything like that.
