Queensland – A message from the Hon Karen Struthers MP
Young people are the future of our great state. The Bligh Government is committed to supporting our youth, and proud to celebrate Youth Week 2010.
Youth Week is a fantastic opportunity for young people to express their talents, achievements and ideas.
It’s important the community sees how much young people have to offer, hear what young people have to say, and celebrate the contribution young people make to Queensland.
I look forward to meeting more young people at Youth Week 2010 events, and ensuring their voices are heard by the Bligh Government.
Young people can participate in Youth Week by visiting our website, www.youth.qld.gov.au.
There are so many great opportunities to participate in Youth Week, whether you want to meet new people, show off your creativity or get in touch with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, there is something for everyone.
I encourage all young Queenslanders to get out in their community, have their say and most importantly, have fun!
Live It Now and live it proud. Queenslander!
Karen Struthers
Minister for Community Services and Housing and Minister for Women.
