National Youth Week is one of the largest celebrations of young people in Australia and I am looking forward to being involved for the first time as the Minister for Young Territorians.

National Youth Week is rightfully a celebration all about young people. It is also a fantastic opportunity for young people to enjoy a range of exciting and engaging activities. More importantly it presents a timely focus on the diverse range of talents and positive contributions young people make to the community.

Whether you attend a dance party, workshop, fun day or organise an event yourself, enter a competition, provide an opinion on the online polls or celebrate with your friends National Youth Week is all about getting involved.

This year’s National Youth Week is all about “living it up” which is encapsulated in the theme, Live it Now. I encourage all young Territorians to get involved and above all, have fun!
