9. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
Well before I got involved with TYF (Tasmanian Youth Forum), my local Council, NYWSC (National Youth Week Steering Committee) I was a lot quieter and had no confidence but because of all of these things I’ve been involved in, I have a lot more confidence in myself and what I say! I’ve had so many people tell me that I’m very well spoken and possibly have a future in a similar sort of thing!

1. What are you most looking forward to about Youth Week?
Hurtsville Council always throws a killer party, but the free food at the catered events probably ‘takes the cake’ for me. (Ho ho ho, so punny).

2. What is your favourite day of the week and why?

3. What does ‘Live it Now’ mean to you?
Youth Week is about celebrating the achievements of young people as they are now. Not just the potential of what we will be become. It also means come to Youth Week now while you can, because eventually you’ll be old and boring and get weird looks at the events.

4. If you could travel to one place in the world, where would you go?
Maybe Lausannes in Switzerland, people there speak French, which I reckon makes for the best accents, but seems less touristy and more laid back than France. I also hear that Berlin had a really fun and vibrant youth culture.

5. Who/what inspires you?

6. Why did you decided to get involved in National Youth Week?
It was a natural progression as I started organising Youth Week activities with my local youth council a few years ago. Eventually I decided to apply for the NSW Youth Week Council, and from there to National Youth Week!

Hanging out with friends, just relaxing and having fun or dancing and listening to music. So if you’re anything like me, I suggest you check out Youth Week! (Sorry, had to put a plug in somewhere)

Love the lingo! I’ve been listening to Passion Pit a fair bit these past weeks, and I’m going to see Phoenix tomorrow night so I’m enjoying listening to them.

9. If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Fast healing would be fun – think of the opportunities for practical jokes. Maybe the ability to memorize a text book the night before an exam; that’s something I could definitely use in day to day life.

10. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
I read a lot of junior teen fiction, embarrassingly enough. Like. I can enjoy the depth and intellectual references of Booker Prize wining texts like ‘The English Patient’, but they just don’t compare to the classics like ‘Animorphs’.

My teacher hooked me up with it.

7. When are you happiest?

If I could have any super power I would like to be able to read minds. I think it would be really cool, if I could know everyone’s thought.

10. What is something that not a lot of people know about you?
I have a massive phobia of stairs. You know the ones that are just like a plank of wood with a big gap in between. So scary and so embarrassing!
