The winners were chosen from hundreds of entries received across the five National Talent Competition categories – RockIT (music), DesignIT (graphic design), WriteIT (short stories), ShootIT (film) and SnapIT (photography).

There was a high standard of entries this year and our renowned judges had a very difficult task in choosing the overall Industry Award winners.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2010 National Talent Competition winners have now been decided and recognised for their amazing work!</p>
<p>The winners were chosen from hundreds of entries received across the five National Talent Competition categories – RockIT (music), DesignIT (graphic design), WriteIT (short stories), ShootIT (film) and SnapIT (photography).</p>
<p>There was a high standard of entries this year and our renowned judges had a very difficult task in choosing the overall Industry Award winners. The Peoples Choice Award winners were decided by you and this year we received over 7000 votes!</p>
<p>For 2010, the Industry Awards were judged by international bestselling novelist, Tara Moss; legendary Australian performer, Marcia Hines; graphic design heavyweights, Andrew Hoyne and Trevor Flett; renowned Australian filmmaker, Genevieve Clay; and landscape photographer, Ken Duncan.</p>

<p>Want a quicker way to win free stuff? Entering the <em>Win Free Stuff </em>competition is as easy as answering a question in 25 words or less. Prizes on offer include an AAMI Skilled Drivers course, a 12 month subscription to TV Hits magazine, a 12 month subscription to Girlfriend magazine, a YHA membership plus 10 nights to use at any YHA in Australia, a years supply of Carmex, or a three or six month platinum membership and starter pack at Fitness First. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>National Youth Week 2010 was launched on Saturday 10th April with simultaneous events in Parramatta, NSW and Victor Harbor, South Australia. <p>The Minister for Youth, Kate Ellis officially launched the weeks’ celebrations, which will host over 1000 events throughout, giving all Australians the chance to celebrate and recognise the contributions that young Australians make to the wider community.</p>
<p>Top performers Casey Donovan, Snowdroppers, Matt Van Schie and Chaingang played at the Parramatta event, while Victor Harbor was rocked by Finger Cuffs, Busby Marou, My Escapade and The Swiss. There were also live performances by hip-hop artists and skating shows.</p>
<p>Celebrity ambassadors Stephanie Rice, Matthew Mitcham, Matthew Werkmeister, Renton Millar also attended the events to show their support for National Youth Week.</p>

<p>Oliver and Anna have put their space on the map by telling us about their community. They’ll be getting VIP passes to a National Youth Week launch event held in their local area on 10 April 2010.</p>
<p>The two locations launching National Youth Week this year will be Victor Harbor, South Australia and Parramatta, New South Wales.  A highlights package will be broadcast on Channel Ten’s Video Hits.</p>
